Important Announcment

 

To Whom it May Concern,

As the Owner and Instructor of Ohana Martial Arts, I am writing to inform you of upcoming changes regarding our fees for tuition and supplies beginning this Fall 2024.

Due to inflation rates, cost of shipping, and rising operational costs – there will be a slight increase in monthly dues (for both beginner and advanced classes), as well as a slight increase in our supplies (such as uniforms, shirts, and other equipment) effective August 1st, 2024. This decision has not been taken lightly, and we understand the financial implications it may have on our students and their families. Our new price changes + rules for are as followed:

  • ALL current member tuition will increase to $110 per month for Beginners.
  • NEW member tuition will increase to $120 per month for new Beginners.
  • ALL current Black Belt Club member tuition will increase to $140.
  • NEW incoming Black Belt Club member tuition will increase to $150 per month.
  • All items in the pro-shop (ex: shirts, uniforms, sparring gear and more) will have a $5-$10 increase depending on item(s).
  • Belt testing fees will increase to $60 per student.
NEW RULES for PAYMENT:
  • We will NO LONGER offer a pro-rate on tuition to students/parents enrolled into training who will be away (ex: vacation, sickness, personal reasons and so on). Tuition will be NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE. (For example: If you will be away on vacation for 2 weeks, tuition will NOT be pro-rated for a half month tuition. You will no longer be able to transfer tuition payment to another month if you did not attend a previous month.)
  • $20 late fee will be automatically applied to tuition if payment is made after the 8th of each month UNLESS given prior notice to Sensei Anita or the front desk. If you are unable to make the payment deadline, please call/text Sensei Anita or call the front desk to avoid the late fee. Please communicate with us as we are happy to assist with finding a payment date right for you.

Despite our best efforts to manage costs efficiently, we find it necessary to adjust tuition fees to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality training and support to our students and parents. IMPORTANT NOTE: Master Main and Sensei Anita have decided to push the new payment date from July 1st to August 1st due to a change in schedule for June and July. Master Main and Sensei Anita will be away from June 24th – July 13th to take care of personal family matters in New Zealand. Ohana Martial Arts will remain open with a temporary change in schedule. Beginning June 24th, the dojo will only be open Monday/Wednesday/Friday. The dojo will be CLOSED on Tuesdays/Thursdays/Saturdays until Master Main and Sensei Anita return. Students are more than welcome to make up their classes due to the temporary schedule change. Please contact Sensei Anita for more information regarding making up your classes.
