Ohana News - March 2023

Aloha Ohana,

DUES:

Please make sure to pay your monthly dues before the 8th of each month! There is a $20.00 late fee for those who make payments after the 9th. If you know that you are unable to make the payment deadline, please inform Sensei Anita ahead of time to avoid the late fee payment.

GOOD NEWS!:

We are back to our normal class schedule before Covid-19. We are starting up our Saturday morning classes starting this week (March 4th)!! The Advanced training BBC class will be from 10am-11am and Beginner class will be from 11am-12pm.

Remember: we are allowing beginners to attend up to 3 days a week for their training! Saturday classes are perfect if you miss classes on the weekdays.

STRIPING:

March 22nd, 23rd, 24th for Red stripes. Please do not miss striping days as they count towards belt testing.

BELT TESTING:

Saturday March 25th. Belt testing times will be posted soon! Requirements for belt testing include:

  1. Class attendance
  2. Knowledge of belt level forms
  3. Performance of class drills and skills

We will be practicing in class leading up to belt testing. Master Main will be evaluating students in March. We will notify both parents and students if they are qualified to test for the next belt level.

Please refrain from asking if you or your child are on the testing list. We will notify those who are on the list individually as we need to evaluate everyone’s performance in class.

There will be no make-up belt testing for those who miss the March belt test. The next belt test will be in June. For any questions or concerns, please call/text Sensei Anita at (808)276-2621.

Testing Fee: $50.00 (includes both certification and new belt). Testing fee must be paid BEFORE Test day if you are on the testing list.

PLEASE NOTE:

If you or your child would like to practice their forms at home in preparation for belt testing, we will be happy to send you pre-recorded videos of the forms they need help with. Please notify Sensei Anita or the front desk.

Mahalo

Master Main
